'Bullying, Suicide, Punishment' Annotations
In the article 'Bullying, Suicide, Punishment',John Schwartz states that people are being cyberbullied or publically humiliated and are comitting suicide and nobody can do anything about it because they are protected in the constitution. He claims that actions that the bully decides to partake in can cause PTSD and can potentially lead to suicidal thoughts or even actions. Schwartz develops this claim by investigating a suicide that was caused by public humiliation and the punishment that is being put into place. Schwartz explores the thought that people have freedom of speech and are using this to humiliate people. Lastly, John Schwartz purpose is to inform many of the harm that people can cause when they are not cautious of what they say and how they say it. In order to form a more perfect nation, we must adives the unaware, the ignorant, the illknowleged of their behaviors to their fellow Americans and the damage they can, eventually, do. This work is significant because it confronts the problem at hand. It makes it hard for people to ignore the thought of this.
