This post is strictly how I feel.
In my world, 'spanking' a child is a form of domestic violence. I feel as though this can cause, in the long run, a child to be less cofident and more worried about things. If you think about it, when a man is abusive and hits his woman, he stands over her and yell that she did not do what he wanted her to do and he abuses her. The same thing happens when a child is abused, the parent stands over the child and yells at the child about what she/he did not do while she is hitting the child. When an abused woman gets out of the abusive relationship, she is tenative and shy and definitely scared, and the same for children. But why is it illegal for the adults to get abused and the childern do not? After the 'spanking', children are force to live up to the fact that they are not good enought, and I have myself as a witness, that they are never going to make it in life because they make mistakes and parents 'spank' them. It is demoralizing and it should be against the law. There are other ways to deal with a child then spanking them. Plus, it teaches no lessons in life.
